As part of our commitment to sustainability and reducing food waste, we proudly partner with Oxford Food Hub. Through this collaboration, we donate surplus food to the Hub, which is then distributed to local community groups in need. This initiative not only helps minimise food waste but also supports vulnerable individuals and families by providing access to fresh, nutritious food.

Oxford Food Hub has a crucial role to play in Oxfordshire’s front-line charities. By providing good quality, surplus food, and now essential non-food items, their work removes some of the financial strain on the likes of homeless shelters, food banks, hospices, mental health support centres, women’s refuges and more, many of which wouldn’t be able to operate with OFH.

In 2024 alone, they were able to deliver 400 tonnes of surplus food from ending up in landfill, and redistribute it to over 200 different charities and community groups, thanks to the generous contributions from local food producers and retailers. Their mission is clear, to become the surplus food partner of choice in Oxfordshire, fostering a sustainable model that not only prevents waste but also strengthens community ties by ensuring everyone has access to healthy, fresh food.

By working together, we not only reduce food waste but also contribute to a network of support that delivers fresh, nutritious food to those who need it most. We are committed to continuing this partnership, helping to make a positive impact on both the environment and the local community.
